Certified Mold Remediation
The first and most important thing is to make sure your remediation company is certified and insured with proper mold insurance.
Mold remediation is the process by which mold and affected materials are identified, contained and removed from a structure. T&T handles all mold remediation projects in accordance with the highest
industry standards and procedures and you can have a peace of mind knowing that T&T is on the job!
Mold Remediation Process
- The work area should be unoccupied.
- The work area will be covered with a plastic sheet and sealed with tape before remediation, to contain dust and debris.
- Dust suppression methods, such as misting (not soaking) surfaces prior to remediation with anti-microbial EPA certified chemicals.
- Contaminated materials that cannot be cleaned will be removed from the property in sealed plastic bags.
- The work area and areas used by remedial workers for egress will be HEPA vacuumed (a vacuum equipped with a High-Efficiency Particulate Air
filter) and cleaned with a damp cloth and/or mop and a detergent solution.
- Removal of airborne spores with air scrubber, three level filtration, with 99.97% HEPA filter.
- All areas will be left dry and visibly free from contamination and debris.
We use chemicals that are:
- Manufactured to Green Seal standards
- VOC Free
- APEO Free Ingredients
- No formaldehyde or carcinogens
- Tested to ASTM standards
